Named after Sunrise on the Reaping (Sunrise at Harvestin free translation), the novelty takes place around two decades before we meet the character played by Jennifer Lawrence (What time will I pick you up?) on the big screen and addresses the Capital’s control over the districts of Panem.

“With Sunrise on the ReapingI was inspired by the idea of ​​implicit submission of the [filósofo] David Hume and, in his words, ‘the ease with which the many are governed by the few’”the author said to Associated Press.

“The story also lent itself to a deeper dive into the use of propaganda and the power of those who control the narrative. The question ‘real or not real?’ It seems more urgent to me every day”added Collins.
