Star Wars The Acolyte : Who is Master Torbin?

Series Star Wars The Acolyte made an impressive debut on Disney+. After releasing the first two episodes online on June 5, the streaming platform quickly garnered millions of views. 4.8 million in just 24 hours. Enough to reassure the series teams, starting with creator Leslye Headland. It must be said that this start of the season has successfully managed to drop new characters into a distant era of the High Republic. Among these are twins Mae and Osha (Amandla Stenberg)of which one is the antagonist and the other the protagonist The Acolyte. Alongside them we discover Master Sol (Lee Jung-jae) and the young Jedi Yord (Charlie Barnett) and Jecki (Dafne Keen).

Other secondary characters appeared, with less time. The fate of Carrie-Anne Moss so it made people cringe. But she is not the only one who has had a tragic fate. Since episode 2, another Jedi Master has lost his life: Turbine. When we find out in The Acolyte, is in deep meditation, protected by a Force shield, and has taken a vow of silence. When Mae confronts him, she finds herself facing a wall. But her words finally reach him. And because of the strange past that unites them (which we will discover in episode 3), Mae manages to convince Torbin to kill himself with poison…

The Tommen Baratheon of game of Thrones

Many saw Torbin as an anecdotal character, played by an unknown actor. He is in fact difficult to recognize with his clothing, beard and scar on his face. However, fans of game of Thrones I also saw this actor since he is Dean-Charles Chapman. The very one who incarnated Tommen Baratheon, the young king of Westeros, in seasons four through six. A character who has had a great evolution over the course of these seasons, before committing suicide by throwing himself out of a window of the Red Keep.

Dean-Charles Chapman then didn’t stop at game of Thrones since he later appeared in films 1917 (2019) e The king (2019). He also appeared in some series episodes before playing Torbin for the series Star Wars. If I hadn’t noticed he was there The Acolyte, know that she will be more recognizable in episode 3, which will return to Mae and Osha’s past. An episode to discover from June 12th onwards Disney+.
