British GQ recently asked the New Zealand actor his opinion on Dakota Johnson’s comments. And he explained that, in his opinion, certain actors should know what to expect when they sign on for superhero movies. So think that these actors accept such roles “for the wrong reasons” :

You mean you agreed to star in a Marvel movie, in a universe full of cartoon characters, and you didn’t have enough pathos? I’m not sure I can make it better for you. It’s a gigantic machine, and they make films of a certain size… They are jobs. You know: this is your role, play the role. If you’re expecting this experience to be some kind of life-changing event, I just think you’re here for the wrong reasons.”

Russell Crowe later admitted that it can be difficult to play in front of a blue screen. A process very often used for superhero films. But he explained that he hadn’t had a bad experience Thor: Love and Thunder OR Kraven the Hunter. You highlighted the possibility of having been able to work with Taika Waititi and JC Chandor, the directors of these films. He even called them “geniuses”.

Russell Crowe will therefore return to the cinema in Kraven the Hunter. However, the film’s release was pushed back to the end of last April. It was supposed to arrive in August, but the feature film will finally arrive in French cinemas next December 18th.
