Interpreter of Aegon II Targaryen in the first two seasons of The House of the Dragon, Tom Glynn-Carney opined how game of Thronesthe franchise’s original series, came close to “oversexualizing” women in the narrative.
When it was produced by HBO, game of Thrones faced some criticism regarding the treatment of female characters, especially unnecessary sex and nudity scenes. In an interview with The Independent, Glynn-Carney explained how I “assumed” that The House of the Dragon I would reduce this type of scene in the episodes.
“That they would take a different approach, because it seemed like maybe game of Thrones was very close to overly sexualizing women, and wouldn’t it be cool if they did that this time,” said the 29-year-old artist. “I thought they were appropriately delicate and took a better, more sustainable angle.”

In the 2nd season episodes, Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy, Truth Seekers) fights against his own brother, Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney, Tolkien), for the right to sit on the Iron Throne and rule the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.
