News addresses the artist’s fight against her former manager over the rights to her first albums, sold to Braun
Max launches, this Friday (21), the documentary Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun: Bad Bloodwhich shows, in two parts, the singer’s legal dispute against her former manager over the rights to her musical catalogue.
The novelty promises to address both sides of the story, which broke in June 2019, when Swift announced that he had tried to acquire the rights to his first six albums, but they were reportedly sold for Braun for US$300 million, without the singer being consulted.
At the other end, the former businessman of Swift claimed that, in fact, the artist had refused to negotiate, which led him to suffer from attacks and threats from Swiftiesas the singer’s fans call themselves.
Despite this, the fight ended up being positive for the artist, who decided on the albums “Taylor Swift” (2006), “Fearless” (2008), “Speak Now” (2010), “Red” (2012), “1989” (2014) and “Reputation” (2017), giving rise to the “Taylor’s Version”.
