He plays in his fourth solo film with Thor: love and thunder, Chris Hemsworth has accomplished something no other Marvel Cinematic Universe star has achieved. The audience said goodbye to Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man (died in ending of the Avengers) and Chris Evans’ Captain America (who traveled back in time to be with Peggy Carter), but the God of Thunder remains a staple of the canon.
However, one wonders: How much time do we have left with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor? Is his time in the MCU running out? It depends who you ask, but Marvel Studios actor and president Kevin Feige looks confident there will be more cinematic stories for Strongest Avenger after the release of. Thor: love and thunderas long as the material stays fresh.
Chris Hemsworth recently attended one of Wired auto-complete interviews, and he talked about the possible end of his career in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the post “What is Chris Hemsworth’s latest Marvel movie?” In a literal sense, he explained that the last movie he made for the comic book franchise was Thor: love and thunderand offered a huge question mark as to whether or not we’ll see more of Thor in 2023 and beyond:
well the last one [Marvel movie] I made Thor: Love and Thunder, and it might be my last Marvel movie, I don’t know. It was a crazy, fun, crazy experience, as all Taika Waititi films are. I played this character for ten or eleven years, and every time he was new and exciting, and this was no exception. It was very fresh and it felt like we were experiencing something we hadn’t tried before. I was, in Taika’s words, a wild and crazy romantic comedy set in space.
The same topic about Chris Hemsworth’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was recently addressed by Full movie during an interview with Kevin Feige. As expected by Feige (who is a black belt when it comes to hiding secrets and evasive claims), the executive didn’t mention anything about Hemsworth’s contract and didn’t specifically mock any upcoming projects.
What he did, however, was to note that Thor has been a character who has been appearing on the pages of Marvel Comics for decades, and there is still a lot of popular material from those books that has yet to be translated to the big screen. . Kevin Feige explained,
I know: there are many, many more Thor stories in the comics that we talk a lot about. And as we watch Chris Hemsworth continue to grow and evolve as a tremendous acting talent, I’d love to see how this complex character continues to evolve.
For what it’s worth, it looks like the right hardware would allow Chris Hemsworth to play Thor again in the blink of an eye after making Thor: love and thunder. He has no interest in returning to the territory he has already explored with the character, and is always looking for a new direction, and if a plan meets these requirements, he will be interested. At the same time, he doesn’t try to play the role until someone yells, “Have the bait!” Hemsworth told Total Film,
Whenever the opportunity presents itself and presents itself, I am open to any creative exploration that may arise, thanks to different writers and directors, etc. But I love playing the character, I really do. It always boils down to: ‘Is this script different from the previous one? Are we feeling something? And when it gets too familiar, I think that’s when I have to say, “Yeah, no, not that … I think I have …” I’d like to get out before people tell me. go out.
Much of Thor’s future will depend on where the character can be brought to the end of his latest adventure, and audiences around the world will be able to experience the character’s journey in a few days. Thor: love and thunderstarring Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale and Russell Crowe, will be released in theaters this Friday, July 8 and Tickets are already on sale (opens in a new tab).
