A musical version of Shakespeare infused with pop songs Romeo and Juliet Coming to Broadway this fall.
The author of the book is represented shit cove Writer David West Read, the musical, called it and Juliet, He wonders what would have happened if Juliet hadn’t died at the end of the story. His journey is set against the backdrop of popular songs written by producer/songwriter Max Martin and his collaborators, including: “Since U Been Gone”, “Roar”, “Baby One More Time”, “Larger Than Life”, “That’s The” like” and “I can’t stop the feeling”.
and Juliet Previews begin October 28 at the Stephen Sondheim Theater before opening November 17. The play is currently playing in Toronto, ending up on Broadway and playing in the West End as of 2019.
The director is Luke Shepard, the choreography of the musical is Jennifer Weber. The production takes place on Broadway. Martin, Tim Haddington, Teresa Steele Page, Jenny Peterson, Martin Dodd and Eva Price.
The cast will feature Lorna Courtney as Juliet, Paulo Schott (southern Pacific Ocean) As Lance, Betsy Wolfe (falsettoAnne Hathaway, Sands Stark (curly boots) Shakespeare stars Justin David Sullivan as May, Melanie La Barre as The Nurse, Ben Jackson Walker as Romeo and Philip Arroyo as François.
