Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield in a moving drama
Director of Brooklyn (2015) and The Goldfinch (2019), John Crowley is back with a new drama film: We live in timeFor his seventh feature film, the director has brought together two famous characters Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield. A beautiful duo that is enough to make us interested in the film. As soon as this collaboration was announced we were curious to see where the director would go. To get an idea, A24 has unveiled the first trailer (video on the front page of the article)which sets the tone and promises a touching romantic drama, which will tell the story of ten years in the life of a couple.
The trailer of We live in time It begins as a fairly classic love story, with the comical meeting of Almut and Tobias: the former runs over the latter with her car. Both will meet again, start a relationship and fall in love. Then we tell ourselves that everything will be fine for this couple, even with the birth of their daughter. Except thatAlmut will become visibly ill and will have to fight to get out of it. A shift towards drama that should make more than a few people cry. We will obviously wait to see the final result to judge the quality or otherwise of the film. But this trailer is already moving people.
We live in time will be released this fall in the United States. In France we will have to wait January 22, 2025 to find out in the theaters.
