The boys finished, it’s time for Gen V

Season 4 of The boys just ended with an eighth and final episode that will leave fans speechless. Without going into too much detail to avoid spoiling it, America is getting closer and closer to chaos Patriot who really turned the country around thanks to Sister Sage’s plan (she had planned everything). There was a small note of hope with Victoria Neuman. But Butcher, who has completely lost control and let his demons take over, decided otherwise…

After such an ending, we are eagerly awaiting the sequel. Especially since the fifth season will be the last. The announcement was made even before the fourth season aired. The good news is that Eric Kripke will be able to provide all the answers to the questions we still have and conclude his series as he wishes. However, we will have to wait at least a year before discovering the last episodes. Only until then, fans will have a lot to do with this season 2 of Gen Vwhich will be a sort of sequel to the fourth season of The boys.

A season that will please fans

Launched last year, this spin-off has helped enrich the universe of The boys. We have since seen some characters again in the season 4 finale of The boys. And to tempt us (already), Vernon Sanders, who runs Amazon MGM Studios together with Jennifer Salke, praised Eric Kripke’s work, during an interview with Variety. He stated:

We’ve put everything into it and Eric Kripke has always been up to the task. I’ve also had a chance to see the dailies and the material for Gen V season 2. (…) I think fans of the entire franchise are going to be blown away by season 2.

For this season 2 of Gen Vthe production had to face “a real challenge” with the death of Chance Perdomothe interpreter of Andre Anderson. His character will not be recast, and so the writers had to do it rework the scripts making sure to pay proper tribute to the actor. Finally, in addition to season 2 of Gen Vthe public will wait for another spin-off with The Boys of Mexico. Then, other projects could see the light. But the studio wants to take its time and make sure it gives audiences a story they can’t wait to see.

As for the future, it really depends on Eric. We have a lot of ideas, and so does he, but we want to make sure that they are needed. So when we announce our next project, if we announce a next project, it will be because we really know that we have the support of the audience that this is a story that wants to be told.
