Thanks to some new preview images, we can take an in -depth look at some of the animatronics we’ll be looking at Jurassic World: The Dominionthe most anticipated final chapter of the saga that began in 1993 on Jurassic Park.
They show some animatronics of the dinosaurs we see in the movie, like Dilophosaurus – back to legend after a very long loss – and the new Pyroraptor, the first openly feathered dinosaur to be shown in the franchise. The photos were released by a user on Instagram and are part of an in-depth study that will be published in the next issue of Fangoria Magazine. You can preview them below:
The first photo shows the artists of Stan Winston Studios during the head sculpting process Giganotosaurusnew entry in the film that we have already enjoyed in all its power The Prologue – Jurassic World: The Dominion, the sequence released a few months ago was set 65 million years ago. We also read a significant statement from the film’s Creature Effects Supervisor, John Nolan: “Jurassic is a perfect example of how thimble and hands-on effects complement each other.. “
Above we see the sculpt of Dilophosaurus, the franchise’s iconic dinosaur that will reappear in legend after a very long absence. The design of the maquette looks identical to what the Visual Artist thought John McCreery in 1992 for Jurassic Park.
Here instead we see the animatronic of Dilophosaurus then apply the color. In this photo the color palette definitely looks the same as the model made Jurassic Parknot like we saw in the first trailer for Jurassic World: The Dominion where it is finally shown in action.
The image above seems to rather illustrate the maquette of a Microceratusthe dinosaur has not yet been officially confirmed in the film but was mentioned on the viral site Jurassic World in 2015.
Here, on the other hand, it is possible to appreciate in more detail the head – and relative feathers – of Pyroraptorone of the most anticipated dinosaurs in the film, along with models of flying reptiles Dimorphodon seen in 2015 at Jurassic World.
In the last picture we will see the maquette and animatronics of Pyroraptor, ng Dilophosaurusnarito Stygimoloch (which started on Jurassic World – The destroyed kingdom) in a cage, and what seemed to be the first models of Microceratus. Also in the background of the picture you will see what looks like a giant locust. Could it be another creation of a multinational genetic engineering company? To find out, let’s just wait for the release of the movie. There is also another interesting statement by John Nolan which gives us an idea of how much animatronics was exploited in filmmaking: ”We’ve already made thirty-eight dinosaurs, fourteen species, I think. Some are small, like Compsognathus. And then the Giganotosaurus, with a head the size of a car. “
In the direction of Jurassic World: The Dominion returned Colin Trevorrowalso involved as a producer along with Steven Spielberg. Trevorrow also signed the script that he co -wrote Emily Carmichaelwho has already started the franchise with shorts Jurassic World: Battle of the Big Rock. The soundtrack was re-edited by Michael Giacchino.
In the film cast in addition to Chris Pratt At Bryce Dallas Howardthe historical faces of the first memorable chapter will also return. Sam Neill, Laura Dern At Jeff Goldblum in fact they will continue their respective duties as Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler At Ian Malcom. From the previous two chapters of Jurassic World they will also return Omar Sy, BD Wong |, Isabella Sermon, Justice Smith At Daniella Pinedawhile among the new entries there will be DeWanda Wise, Dichen Lachman, Scott Haze At Mamoudou Athie. Said about the cast of ‘humans’, about dinosaurs the new entries we saw in the first official trailer of the film were the T.herizinosaurusang Quetzalcoatlusang Atrociraptorang Pyroraptor – first feathered dinosaur shown in legend – and the expectation Giganotosaurusannounced as the next formidable opponent of Tyrannosaurus Rex.
So far the details on the plot are very limited even though some short-term signs seem to have leaked. However, we do know that the events in the film will be set some time after the events narrated in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
Jurassic World: The Dominion will be coming to theaters in June 2, 2022.
