Kraven the Hunter will appear in cinemas for the first time
Part of the universe of films about Marvel characters developed by Sony, Kraven the Hunter will be released this year. We will see it for the first time in the cinema one of Spider-Man’s famous enemies in the comics. The film will tell us how Sergei Kravinoff, a hunter raised by a tyrannical father, one day he gains superhuman abilities after taking a magic serum.
After playing Quicksilver in the MCU, Aaron Taylor-Johnson Cast as Kraven the Hunter in the movie directed by JC Chandor. After a first trailer revealed in June 2023, Sony has shared new, particularly violent images from the feature film.
Blood flows freely in new images
The new trailer of Kraven the Hunter introduces us to the anti-hero when he has to escape from prison for the first time. Then he makes fun of us the comparison between the latter and his father. Let’s also see a formidable enemy he will have to face: the Rhinocerosplayed by Alessandro Nivola. This character appeared briefly in The Amazing Spider-Man 2played at the time by Paul Giamatti.
Particularly bloodyThis new trailer also shows us this many bodies mutilated in different ways from the protagonist. The violence of these new images is not really surprising. Because, as a reminder, Kraven the Hunter will be Sony’s First R-Rated Marvel Film. That is, it is prohibited for anyone under 17 years of age unaccompanied by an adult in the United States. Within the MCU, it is Deadpool and Wolverine which recently broke this barrier.
A delayed release at the end of the year
Unfortunately, we will have to wait a little longer than expected before we can discover JC Chandor’s film. The release in French theaters was scheduled for October 4, but Kraven the Hunter will finally arrive just before Christmas. It will be visible in French cinemas starting from December 18th.
