A New Year Like No Other
It’s a new production from A24 studios and it looks promising. A trailer for the horror comedy Year 2000directed by the actor Kyle MooneyIt’s been revealed and these first images are mouth-watering (trailer at the top of the article). For his first feature film as a director, Kyle Mooney seems to have relied on nostalgia. That of the era in which teen comedy was at its best, especially in the cult Super Severe.
It is also towards the film directed by Greg Mottola that Year 2000 seems to wink a lot. Especially from Jonah Hill, revealed by Supper tombis credited with the production of Year 2000. Its synopsis is as follows:
THE New Year’s Eve 1999, two high school students decide to throw the last big party before the new millennium. At midnight, the night becomes crazier than they could have ever imagined.
With its duo of young boys, Eli (Jaeden Martell) and Danny (Julian Dennison) determined to have fun and, for Eli, to succeed in seducing his crush Laura (Rachel Zegler), we are back with Year 2000 with adolescent torments, necessarily funny and touching.
Comedy and blood
But we must add to this teenage comedy an important dimension, the science fiction one that brings us back to the atmosphere of the saga. Terminatorwith killer robots coming to life during the famous “Y2K bug”.
