David Fincher: A Master of Modern Cinema

David Fincher is undoubtedly one of the most influential and respected directors of his generation. From his early days with Alien 3 in 1992, until his works became cult Seven, Fight Club, Zodiac or even The social networkFincher has been able to impose a unique style, combining technical precision and exploration dark depths of the human soul. This mysterious project would be based on a script written by Michael Gilio, who had appeared on Blacklist of 2008 (an annual selection of the best unproduced Hollywood screenplays). The script of Bitter root revolves around an old rancher who, after seeing his savings stolen, decides to take matters into his own hands rob banks and track down thieves. In his desperate search for justice, he is persecuted by his son, a sheriff. This promising story, with the appearance of a twilight western, recalls the great classics such as Ruthless by Clint Eastwood.

The origins of this project date back more than ten years. In 2011 this was planned Big hole is directed by Michael Gilio himself, with Gore Verbinski (director of Pirates of the Caribbean) to production. But since then, the project has been on hold until Netflix and David Fincher look set to resurrect it.

While Netflix has yet to officially confirm this information, offers have already been made to two lead actors for this film, suggesting that the project could quickly go into production.
