Del Mar a Marte presents “Olas al vide”, their new album

From the sea to MarsThe Buenos Aires group that delves into alternative and indie rock, is sailing into 2024 with a new album under his arm entitled “Olas al Vacío”.

This is a record of 10 titlesthat delve into different sensations. It is the product of a little over a year of work, rehearsals, back and forth, camaraderie and a lot of love for music. It all started with the idea of recording just a few songs and the idea came to “make an album”.

“Olas al vide” was the first single (which gives its title to the work) and it was like a revelation. The song talks about lost opportunities and the ambiguity that this represents because just when the storm passes, we realize that Time itself is ephemeral and it is never too late.

It’s never too late for songs like “Darnos réels” and “Vos yeux”which were already released on a solo EP by Charly Stron and now had their moment to be reissued and re-recorded. It was not too late for “Liliana”, a song written in 2015 and now officially released.

The album continues with the sensations and connections on the surface and in “Montaña” it embraces the energy and spirituality of a beautiful geographical relief so special that it assumes itself, and by a collective, as a kind of amulet and source of positive energies.

In the songs “I saw it coming” and “Sirena”, the influences of all the members of the group emerge and give shape to these songs, including the twist that Del Mar a Marte found to cover “Ya no sos Igual” by 2 Minutos, bringing enter the realm of indie rock and make it your own.

Finally, a kind of bonus track It comes from a country song, very introspective and personal, like “Ya no ha fue”.
