I really like “36 quai des Orfèvres”. Every 10 years there is a thriller that revives the genre. It takes it off television and relaunches it in the cinema. It’s a fantastic film. I love it. I love Olivier Marchal’s sensitivity. (…). You know, “36” is a film that, in a way, has updated me. We are here, we make films all the time and we get used to it. I made magnificent films with Claude Sautet, difficult roles, and it became normal. And at a certain point we become… pfff. And then there is a film that makes you rediscover yourself. Maintaining a 50-year career is not easy!
