BTS Will Get Three Shows On Disney Streams After Hybe Deal

The deal includes filming BTS: Permission to Dance On Stage – LA and a documentary series about the K-pop group.

Three programs with members of the BTS will reach the streams of disney – that includes Disney+, Star+ and hulu – following an agreement between The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific and Hybe Corporation, the company that manages the K-pop group’s career. The information is from Variety.

The deal is intended to “showcase the creative excellence of South Korea’s music and entertainment industry” and includes the global distribution of five titles, but only three have been detailed.

Among them is the BTS: Permission to Dance On Stage – LAa show filmed at Sofi Stadium, in Los Angeles, in November 2021. This was the first time, in two years of a pandemic, that the band performed in person with an audience and presented hits such as “Butter” and “Permission to Dance.”

The series In the Soop: Friendshipwhich has V of BTS in the cast, will also enter the catalog. The show follows five friends on a trip. In addition, the contract provides for a documentary series entitled BTS Monuments: Beyond the Starwhich tracks the rise of the K-pop group.

The series will showcase “unprecedented access” to the band’s music and footage over the course of nine years and will be available on streaming disney from next year. According to Hybe’s CEO, Park Ji-won“this will be the start of a long-term collaboration where we present worldwide audiences with a wide variety of Hybe content for fans who love our music and artists.”
