Penguin, a Batman spin-off miniseries, premieres on Max

Penguin, miniseries derived from Batmana critical and public success starring Robert Pattinson (Dusk), is now available in the Max catalog. The new product brings Colin Farrell (The Lobster) again in the skin of Oswald Cobblepotbetter known as the villain Penguin.

What is the story of Penguin?

Penguin takes place shortly after the events of the film and, according to Farrellshows “the rise of a man to a position of power and social status that he has always dreamed of inhabiting”: “The journey of Oswald [Cobblepot, o Pinguim] is about rising to the top of a chain of power in Gotham, and there are no shortage of obstacles in your way”explained to MovieZine.

In the story, the city of Gotham is fragile — after the plan of Charade (Paul Dano, Pantheon) —, with political leadership shaken and public confidence in justice and security in decline. With the death of Carmine Falcone (John Turturro, Rupture), a central figure in Gotham’s criminal underworld, begins a power struggle over Gotham’s underworld.

In addition to Colin Farrell, Penguin still has Cristin Milioti (How I Met Your Mother), Michael Kelly (House of Cards), Rhenzy Happy (Fugitives), Shohreh Aghdashloo (House of Sand and Mist), Michael Zegen (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), James Madio (Band of Brothers), Scott Cohen (Gilmore Girls) and Deidre O’Connell (Demolisher) in the cast.
