Netflix: The French action director is preparing a series on GIGN



Julien Leclerq returns to his roots

In French Netflix productions, Julien Leclercq occupies a special place. Since 2020 he has been at the helm of three films: Earth and blood, Sentinel AND The wages of fear. But, perhaps because these three films differ so much in quality, we probably remember his series first Thievesbroadcast from 2021 and adapted from his film released in 2016, and worn by his favorite actor Sami Bouajila. This he experienced a global success among Netflix subscribers, and it is therefore in this format that we will soon find Julien Leclercq.

It is in old pots that we prepare the best soup and his new Netflix series, entitled GIGNseems to follow the adage. In fact, that’s all there is to it the elite force of the national gendarmerie that Julien Leclercq revealed himself in 2011, with his film The Assault. It tells of the GIGN’s assault to put an end to the hostage-taking of Air France Flight 8969 at Marignane airport in December 1994.
