When the 2024 Latin Grammy Awards nominations were announced, someone celebrated loudly. And it wasn’t surprising. Nico Cotton (that’s him) appears in the “Producer of the Year” categories alongside celebrities such as Juan Luis Guerra, Janina Rosado, Julio Reyes Copello, Edgar Barrera and Eduardo Cabra.

But that’s not all, since This is the third time in a row that the academy has recognized Nico among the best producers of the yearthis award being the international distinction that celebrates excellence in Latin music and the only award given by professionals in the music industry.

At just 35 years old, he has a total of 14 Latin Grammy nominations, including three for Producer of the Year (2022, 2023 and 2024).

Throughout his career, Nico has collaborated with Maria Becerra, Cazzu, Marshmello, Manuel Turizo, Morat, Wos, Knowing Russia, Milo J, Elsa y Elmar, Leiva, You Indicaemelo, Marilina Bertoldi, Ca7riel, Nicki Nicole, Tiago PZK , Abel Pintos, Soledad Pastorutti, Juan Ingaramo, Louta, Daniela Spalla, Miranda! and many other renowned artists.

He has also received seven RIAA platinum certifications for “El Merengue” by Marshmello and Manuel Turizo (x6) and “Automatico” by Maria Becerra, and has been nominated several times for the Gardel Awards.

Currently, he is finishing the Cazzu and Morat albums. And he works on the new projects of Aitana and Manuel Carrasco.
