Miss Peregrine: from novel to film
In October 2016, the film Miss Peregrine and the Peculiar Children directed by Tim Burton comes out in cinemas. But where is Miss Peregrine 2?

As with other fantasy sagas aimed at young audiences, one could imagine that other films would follow, but this was not the case. Several elements can explain why there has never been a Miss Peregrine 2 at the cinema, despite the rather positive response from the public and professionals.

Financially, the film certainly made almost double its production cost ($296 million at the worldwide box office), but this figure, while respectable, did not reach Hollywood standards that would warrant a sequel. The box office start, although higher than expected ($29 million), did not live up to expectations given the film’s substantial budget.
