City of God: The Fight Doesn’t Stopwhich recently ended its first season and has already been renewed for a second year, will debut on open TV. The first episode of the series derived from City of Goda successful feature from 2002, will be shown on Band from 10:45 pm this Friday, October 4th.

However, contrary to what had been previously announced, the series should not be shown in full on the channel, as happened withBandit Livesfrom Disney+. What is the story of City of God: The Fight Doesn’t Stop?

An adapted continuation of the literary work of Paulo Lins, City of God: The Fight Doesn’t Stop takes place in the early 2000s, when the release of a young drug dealer from prison puts Cidade de Deus in a new dispute. After the event, residents find themselves trapped between drug traffickers, militia and public authorities, but the need to escape this cycle makes the community unite to face the oppressors.

Alexandre Rodrigues (Buscapé), Roberta Rodrigues (Berenice), Thiago Martins (Lamp), Sabrina Rosa (Cynthia), Kiko Marques (Big head) and Edson Oliveira (Barbantinho) are back in City of God: The Fight Doesn’t Stop.

The cast of the series also includes Andréia Horta (Elis: Living Is Better Than Dreaming), Marcos Palmeira (Reborn), Eli Ferreira (Sertão Sea), Luellem de Castro (Enchanted’s), Jefferson Brazil (Any Day), Otávio Linhares (Jesus Kid), Rafael Lozano (Route 66), Leandro Daniel (Every Day the Same Night) and Luiz Bertazzo (Alice Junior).
