The subject came up in an interview with IndieWirein which he commented on the sex scenes in his new film, titled All the Time We Have and also starring Florence Pugh. Read below the synopsis of the production, which premieres on October 31, 2024 in Brazilian cinemas.

According to descriptions, the film features some heavy, funny, sweaty and simply realistic sex scenes, which Garfield denoted how they have become less common in films. “You can’t see much [deles] nowadays,” he said. “I think maybe this movie feels like it’s from a different time because we’re much more protective of each other now.”
Paranoid. Removed. Isolated. Divided. There’s a lot less intimacy because of these things.
“We are much less intimate with ourselves and much less intimate with death. Our feelings. Reality. In fact, we are much less intimate with reality,” the actor continued. “There’s a huge divide around how we experience the world right now, and I think it feels like this is a film full of longing in that sense.”
“I think there is an unconscious or even conscious desire in the public for these images. Seeing this level of intimacy and connection being experienced on screen, I think, will be a beautiful reminder and inspiration for people,” concluded the artist in the conversation.
