Terrify 3a success that began in France
We haven’t stopped talking about it for several days Terrify 3. However, on paper, nothing suggested that such hype would bring this gory, low-budget film. Certainly, Terrify 2 had already caused a bit of a stir following the reactions of some spectators. But for this third work in Damien Leone’s saga, it is even stronger. First, in France, the film was banned for children under 18. What could have buried its theatrical release ultimately caused quite a bit of word of mouth. In less than a week, the feature has already amassed more than 200,000 viewers, far more than the previous film’s total of 70,000. An impressive figure for this type of release.
The release of Terrify 3 It also attracted viewers in the United States, as the feature film grossed more than $18 million in its first weekend. A good score that allows the production to already be widely profitable (its cost would be around 2 million dollars). Suddenly the question inevitably arises of what will happen next. Especially because, without spoiling too much, the end of the last film leaves the door wide open for a fourth work.
A Terrify 4and more?
Even before the release of Terrifier 3, Variety asked Damien Leone about the sequel he imagined for his saga. The director then spoke of the desire to go towards something more”experimental“He would already have it in mind.”really crazy stuff for the next movie“. Now that this third work is in theaters, Variety he returned to the accusation by asking the director if Terrifier 4 would end Art the Clown’s series of massacres. According to Damien Leone the saga could even go further a fifth feature film.
I still don’t have a definitive answer on how many more films I’ll make before finishing the Terrifier saga. Personally, I don’t see the sequel extending beyond one or two more films, but only time will tell.
Unless there is a reversal, there will then be a Terrify 4and maybe more. Damien Leone hasn’t planned everything yet, but, at least, he claims to know.”how it ends, and it’s going to be epic!“.
