Spider-Man: release date for No Way Home sequel announced



Summer 2026 promises to be spectacular

The return of Tom Holland as Spider-Manfive years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Homenow has an official release date. After revealing that he and Zendaya were convinced of what they had discovered about the script, the British actor confirmed on Jimmy Fallon’s microphone that filming would begin in the summer of 2025. And as reported by Varietythis Spider-Man 4 will arrive in theaters, unless otherwise ordered, on July 24, 2026.

2026 will therefore be a decisive year for the MCU and for Tom Holland. For the currently struggling Marvel Cinematic Universe, this new Spider-Man movie will be released a few weeks later Avengers: Judgment Daywhich will notably mark the return of Robert Downey Jr. to the MCU. With “Spider-Man” and “Avengers”, the two currently most profitable “brands” for Marvel Studios, Disney intends to bring its superhero license back to the forefront.

Tom Holland on all fronts

For Tom Holland, the release of the Spider-Man film will not be the only occupation in July 2026. In fact, he is also in the casting of Christopher Nolan’s next film, arriving in theaters on July 17, 2026. Very popular in the role of Spider-Man – Spider-Man: No Way Home reported more than $1.9 billion at the global box office -, Tom Holland could thus increase the audience for Christopher Nolan’s film. A film where he could have the main roleand which already has Matt Damon in its cast.
