Alejandro Lerner received the Latin Grammy for musical excellence

The Latin Recording Academy® organized the 2025 Latin Grammy Special Awards, the most important event for Latin music. AND Alejandro Lerner received the Latin Grammy for Musical Excellence 2024, the highest distinction that the organization grants to a musician in recognition of his or her career.

This international distinction recognizes his more than 40 years of composing and performing songs that have become anthems of Spanish-speaking music.

Those responsible for presenting him with the statuette, with words of deep affection from both, were the famous Argentinian producer and sound engineer Eduardo Bergallo, and the Colombian artist Carlos Vives, who was encouraged to sing a piece of “Conclusions” to thank Alejandro for the depth of his lyrics.

Next, a moving video prepared by the Academy was shown with a summary of the iconic moments of Alejandro’s career, to which the audience gave a standing ovation.

When he went on stage to receive the distinction and very excited, Alejandro said: “When life, God, the Universe decides to give it to you, it exaggerates. I am deeply excited. Today, the word thank you is too small for me.”

And he added: “I am a pianist, composer, producer and singer and I have been a father for 15 years, and it is the most extraordinary title that life has given me. I am with my wife, Marcela, and my children sent me greetings from Argentina. “I have a heart full of love.”
