Dev Patel revealed that his relationship with Skins It’s about love and hate. He starred in the British series between 2007 and 2008 as Anwar.

In an interview with Vanity Fair (via People), the actor joked: “Skins It was like — oh, man, it’s kind of like a little irritation that won’t go away.”

“No, no, no. Look, it was incredible. You look at the guys who left there — Nick [Nicholas] Hoult, Kaya Scodelario — it’s really impressive”, he pondered, mentioning his co-stars.

The series aired from 2007 to 2013, with seven seasons and three generations of teenagers.

“I had no idea what I was doing when I was pulled off the street to participate in that,” Patel said. He also confessed that he keeps in touch with other actors who were with him in the first two seasons of the program, such as Daniel Kaluuya, Hannah Murray and Joe Dempsie.

“I remember one of the best days of filming when they played ‘Original Nuttah,’ from Shy FXand they had a club scene and everyone was going crazy,” he continued Dev Patel. “I remember that because they played like 60 times and I looked like a Kenyan guy in the Maasai Mara jumping up and down.”
