Saoirse Ronan faces Steve McQueen’s on-camera blitz
Saoirse Ronan is back Blitz. The term used for the film’s title describes one of the events of the Battle of Britain. Namely the bombing of the United Kingdom by German planes during the Second World War. The feature film revolves arounda 9 year old boy, GeorgeAND his mother Rita. After being sent to the countryside, the former decides to undertake a dangerous journey to find the latter in London. The latter then starts looking for him.
For BlitzSaoirse Ronan was directed by a director renowned for the quality of his historical dramas: Steve McQueen. The Irish-American actress, among other things, gave the answer Elliott Heffernancast in the role of George. But also to Harris Dickinson and Stephen Graham.
