Macrinus, one of the characters introduced in Gladiator 2
From November 13th French spectators will be able to discover it in cinemas Gladiator 2. Following Maximus’ fate in the original film, this new work focuses on Luciusson of Lucilla. It also introduces us to several new characters.

Ridley Scott believes the character is like Donald Trump
For the release of Gladiator 2to whom Ridley Scott gave a long interview The Hollywood journalist. During this, he specifically mentioned Macrinus. He returned to the character’s past, explaining that the latter was prisoner of war taken to Romeprobably to become a gladiator there. He later managed to free himself and became a businessman. A businessman of questionable morals, whom Ridley Scott compares to Donald Trump :

Denzel Washington had already spoken out about his character’s dishonesty several weeks ago. It was during the screening of the film. In the comments reported by The Hollywood journalisthe had explained that Macrinus was ready to “use all” for his personal ambitions. The actor about to win a new Oscar?
Macrinus’ interpreter has been talked about ever since the release of Gladiator 2. The legendary actor’s performance made it worth it in the conversation for the next Oscars.
