From the creator of euphoria (2019), Sam Levinsonand the singer The Weeknd, The Idol is the new series HBO. The production won the first trailer this Sunday, 17, and revealed some images of the cast full of celebrities such as Lily-Rose Deppdaughter of Johnny Deppand Jenniemember of one of the biggest girl groups of kpop, the BLACKPINK.
The video follows a group of young people in Hollywood washed down with a lot of luxury, drugs and sex. The series does not have a premiere date for now, but some plot and production details have been revealed. Check out everything we know about The Idol yet:
The Idol: What’s the story?
the plot of The Idol follows the story of a self-help guru and modern cult leader – lived by The Weeknd – who is involved in a romantic relationship with Jocelyn (Depp)a rising pop star.

In addition to being co-creator and producer, The Weeknd is also on the list, which includes Lily-Rose Depp, Jennie Kim, Troye Sivan, Steve Zisis, Melanie Liburd, Tunde Adebimpe, Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, Nico Hiraga, Anne Heche, Rachel Sennott and Hari Nef.
