New movie releases: the heavyweights of the week
This week’s flagship release is without a doubt Oppenheimer (21/12). Directed by Christopher Nolan, this monumental biopic chronicles the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the “father of the atomic bomb.” Starring Cillian Murphy in a masterful role, the film explores the moral and personal dilemmas of a historical figure dealing with an invention that changed the course of history. Between its surprising dialogues, its impeccable staging and its immersive atmosphere, Oppenheimer establishes itself as one of the most important films of recent years.
Netflix also offers a good selection for fans of hits and classics. From December 16th we will find it Mortal machinesa visually impressive post-apocalyptic adventure, as well Inglourious bastards by Quentin Tarantino, who revisits World War II with his unique twist.
