Dragons conquer San Diego.
At the city’s annual Comic-Con, two activations transport fans into the fantasy world of Paramount. Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and hbo Dragon House.
The first installation sees Dungeons and Dragons He transformed the Omnia nightclub in San Diego’s Gaslamp district and proved quite popular, with fans lining up around the block for a chance to get in. The Tavern Experience is unique in that it presented the first in-depth look at the film, which was broadcast live on Wednesday before the convention’s Hall H panel on Thursday.
Usually these first looks are reserved for digital distribution, but Paramount had great success with the in-person event. Set inside a tavern, the video features Chris Pine, Hugh Grant, Régé-Jean Page and the title role. Plus, every 15 minutes, the movie’s dragon appears on the nightclub’s giant screen, complete with smoke effects. Fans leave the Taverna experience with their own souvenir cup after free soft drinks.

After hanging out at the Tavern, Comic-Con attendees can head on to another dragon-themed experience tied to HBO’s future. dragon house.
From the outside, the experience is a fully realized version of one of the series’ main locations, Flea Bottom, with a cast of peasants and merchants.
After interacting with the residents of Flea Bottom, the participants are taken to a castle owned by House Lannister. once inside”dragon house: Dragon’s Lair,” Game of thrones Fans have the opportunity to hatch their own dragon egg along the way. Guests will be guided through a ritualistic dragon hatching ceremony, including a five-pound “real” dragon egg, before receiving their own unique digital dragon in the recently launched “DracARys” app.
The app, developed by Niantic, the studio known for Pokémon Go, is available exclusively to Comic-Con attendees ahead of its global launch on July 25th. The experience ends sitting on the Iron Throne (with photo required). It’s worth noting that this isn’t the worn-out version of the throne seen in the original.
