Day ZeroNetflix’s new political thriller
Netflix will soon reveal its new miniseries Day Zero, a political thriller which takes place in the United States. The show starts whenCyber attack kills 3,402 people and causes chaos in the country. Following this, the president asks for help from George Mullen, himself a former president. He must head the commission tasked with investigating the cyber attack.
Day Zero brand the first major role of a cinema legend in a series: Robert De Niro. The latter plays George Mullen. The show was created by Eric Newmannthe showrunner of Narcos, Noah Oppenheim and Michael Schmidtjournalist for The New York Times. After a first trailer revealed a few weeks ago, Netflix has just shared new images from the series.
Chaos takes over in the new images of the series
The new trailer for Day Zero sets the tone starting from the number of victims caused by the cyber attack against the country. This sows panic in the country. And a message that affirms itsuch an attack will happen again is displayed on all cell phones in the country. The American president then summons George Mullen so that he can find all the people linked to the perpetrators of the attack… arrest them without a warrant.
The ex-president’s wife notes that it is the largest attack on civil liberties in the country’s history. Which is why George is strongly contested by the population. And of course, the former president it also hides things. His wife even asks him to prove to her that he is sane. The images revealed promise us this a story of conspiracy on a grand scaleAND a suspenseful plot.
A great cast led by Robert De Niro
As mentioned above, Robert De Niro plays the main protagonist of Day Zero. And the actor is very well supported in the Netflix series. Joan Allen his wife plays there and Angela Bassetto the current president of the United States. Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, Matthew Modine and Connie Britton everyone has a role in the show too.
Day Zero accounts six episodes of approximately one hour. They will all arrive on Netflix on the same date: next February 20th.
