Deluxe, a media group that provides content localization services to global studios and broadcasters, has acquired Creative Sound Conception Studio (CSC Studio), one of Germany’s leading dubbing companies. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Hamburg-based CSC Studio is a regional leader in the dubbing industry, creating localized versions of over 50 films and around 300 episodes of TV series each year. Recent work includes localized versions of Netflix Weird stuff s a crown.
Demand for local language dubbed versions of TV series and movies has grown in recent years with the global expansion of streaming services, which often offer multilingual dubs of original and purchased series and movies.

Backed by private equity group Platinum Equity, Deluxe has recently acquired sound studios around the world as it seeks to establish itself as a global player in the film and dubbing services business.
Recent deals include a joint venture with motion picture services company Motion Picture Solutions. This follows Deluxe’s acquisition of 50% of Dutch film supply company Gofilex and acquisitions of digital services companies Sony NMS and Sundog Media Toolkit.
In June, Deluxe hired former Netflix Korea executive Samantha Kim to build its Asia-Pacific business, a sign that the company’s global expansion is just beginning.
