Mississippi is back on stage

Mississippi announces unique show, in which he will review the greatest hits of his career and preview the material that will be part of his next album. The date is September 3, from 9:30 p.m., at Arena Sur, the largest cultural center in the city of Buenos Aires.

The group led by Ricardo Tapia, one of the oldest and most prestigious in Argentine rock, both musically and in terms of convening power, knows what it means to please its fans. In fact, he has performed throughout Argentina and neighboring countries, in addition to Spain and Colombia, where they have participated in prestigious international festivals.

Among his most memorable performances are his show opening for John Mayall at the Gran Rex, his show with BB King at Obras Stadium, the two editions of the Alligator Blues Festival with artists such as Koko Taylor, Tinsley Ellis and Kenny Neil, and their incredible appearance as a guest band at Eric Clapton’s concert at River Plate.

Mississippi was formed in 1988, but they started their discography in 1993 with “Mbugi”, which contains their big hit “Café Madrid”. They have since recorded 14 albums, 12 of which were integrated with their own material and two with versions of rock and blues classics.

Integrated by Claudio Cannavo (electric bass and backing vocals), Gastón Picazo (piano and keyboards), Gustavo Ginoi (electric guitar and backing vocals), Juan Carlos Tordó (drums, percussion and backing vocals) and their leader Ricardo Tapia (vocals, harmonica and guitar) , was formed in the neighborhood of Florencio Varela, south of Greater Buenos Aires and has crossed borders and conquered audiences from different latitudes.
