Divided into three episodes, the series exclusively brings Isabela’s account of the moment of the crime and deepens in the love story of the young couple. The documentary shows in detail the investigation and behind the scenes of the two judgments, as well as portraying Isabela’s daily life alongside Cupertino, described as a violent and controlling man, with abusive patterns that permeated the family relationship.
Case
On June 9, 2019, Rafael Miguel and his parents, João Alcisio Miguel and Miriam Selma Miguel, were murdered in the south of São Paulo. The crime occurred after a series of disagreements linked to Rafael’s dating with Isabela Tibcherani, And his main suspect was the father of the young woman, Paulo Cupertino, whose motivation would have been the opposition to her daughter’s relationship with the actor. The three were hit by 13 firearm shots. The case gained great national repercussion, not only for the violence of the act, but for the context that motivated it.
On May 30, 2025, after two days of trial, Paulo Cupertino was sentenced to 98 years in prison for the triple homicide. Even maintaining his allegation of innocence and claiming that he had not known the victims, he was considered guilty by the popular jury.
