What to expect from the last year of Sandman?
Based on the comic series created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Keith and Mike Dringenbergoriginally published by DC Comics, Sandman accompany Morpheus (or dream), interpreted by Tom Sturridge(On the road2012), an immortal entity that rules the dream world.
In the second chapter of history, dream faces the consequences of his past mistakes by trying to save himself, his kingdom and the world awake. Check out the official synopsis:
“After a decisive reunion with your family, dreams of the perpetual will need to face a series of impossible decisions to protect everything you have left,” says the official synopsis. “To seek redemption, he will face old friends and enemies, gods, monsters and deadly – but the way to forgiveness is full of twists, and true acquittal can cost everything.
The cast of the final season has the returns of Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Mason Alexander Park, Donna Preston, Gwendoline Christie, Jenna Coleman, Patton Oswalt, Stephen Fryamong other names. Among the new additions are ESMÉ CREED-MILES, Adrian Lester, Jack Gleeson and Steve Coogan.
With production of Warner Bros. Television to the Netflixthe series is led by Allan Heinbergwhich signs the executive production next to David S. Goyer and the Gaiman. All episodes of the second season were directed by Jamie Childs.
What time does the rest of the Sandman season debut?
The decision to close Sandman had already been taken during the production of season two in 2023, as revealed by Variety. Official confirmation only came in January this year, during the same period as Gaimanauthor of the original work and executive producer of the series, became the subject of accusations of sexual misconduct.
Now, throughout July, the season will be launched in two parts. Check out the order:
- Episodes 1 – 6 (already available);
- Episodes 7 – 11 (July 24, 2025, 4:00);
- Episodes 12 (July 31, 2025, 4:00 am).
