Production of the new wave of episodes of the series should start still in this fall in the US, with a cast being defined
Even before the debut of the third season of MonstersNetflix already works behind the scenes to develop the fourth part of the anthology created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. According to sources of Deadlinethe new season should dive into the famous case of Lizzie Borden – Woman judged and acquitted by the murders to the axes of the father and stepmother in 1892, in the city of Fall River, Massachusetts.
The protagonist’s lineup is underway, and it is expected that the recordings begin in the American fall (between September and December). Netflix, however, did not officially comment on production.
The approach to Murphy and Brennan in Monsters It has stood out for revisiting crimes already widely explored from new perspectives. It was like this with the second season, Monsters: Menendez Brothers: Parents Assassinswhich rekindled the public debate about the conviction of the Menendez brothers, accused of killing their parents in the 1990s.
The franchise began with the absolute success of Dahmer: An American Cannibalwhich is still among the five most watched English series in the history of the platform. The third season, entitled The Original Monsterbrings Charlie Hunnam (Sounds of anarchy) in the role of Ed Gein.

The Borden case had great national repercussion in the United States at the time and has since become part of the country’s popular imagination. Lizzie has been portrayed in several productions over the decades, including the miniseries The Lizzie Borden Chroniclesfrom the Lifetime channel, starring Christina Ricciand the movie Lizzie (2018), with Chloë Sevigny (American psychopath) and Kristen Stewart (Dusk).
