Ms. Marvel is the first series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be rated PG in the United States.

After moon knight (2022), Ms. Marvel(2022) is the next series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to arrive at Disney+ and became the studio’s first production to receive a PG rating in the United States, equivalent to the “Free Rating” in Brazil.

According legion of heroesall films from marvel studios are rated PG-13 in the US, while series are rated PG-14. As there is no exact translation for Brazil, productions in the country usually receive the seal of “Recommended for people over 12 or 14 years old.”

From the trailer, it is possible to see how the production distances itself from the latest releases of Marvel how Loki (2021) and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021), which feature more violent combat scenes. Because it tells the story of a teenager, the series is expected to be suitable for all audiences.

According to the official synopsis, “Ms. Marvelis a new and original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a young Muslim American girl growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fanfic writer, Kamala is a mega-fan of superheroes with a grandiose imagination—particularly when it comes to the captain marvel.”

“Even so, Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at her school and sometimes not even in her own home — that is, until she gains her superpowers like the heroes who’ve always inspired her. Life is better with powers, isn’t it?” Ms. Marvel arrives at Disney+ on June 8, 2022. Check out the trailer:
