Entertainment of ‘Wandinha’ promises mystery and tension at the end of season 2 in an interview with US Weekly, actor commented on the future of the novel, Tyler’s transformation and promised “even greater mystery” in the second part of the newsroom

In an exclusive interview with US Weeklythe actor Hunter Doohan (Daredevil: Reborn) commented on Tyler’s evolution in Season 2 Wandinhareflected on the relationship with the protagonist and advanced details about the end of the season.

“[Entrando na 2ª temporada]emotionally it was about understanding where Tyler was. For me, it seemed that he had been totally abandoned by everyone ”he said Doohanabout the character’s mental state during hospitalization at the Willow Hill psychiatric hospital. “Laurel had promised all these things and would take care of him. Then he is totally abandoned and basically feels he was left to die.”

The human character who turned into Hyde passed the interval between the seasons trying to “find some way to escape” until Wandinha (Jenna Ortega, Panic 5) reappeared. “For me, it was constantly wondering what it would be like if I saw Wandinha again”remembered the actor. “So there is a lot of expectation for him when she appears in episode 2.”

The reunion, however, did not come out as expected. After the novel on season 1, the two were on opposite sides when Wandinha found that Tyler was responsible for the city’s murders. Still, he kept hopes.

“For him, Tyler thought his mother had simply died, and then discovers that she died because it was a hyde and that it had been hidden from him. Then Laurel appears, manipula and blames them excluded by the mother’s death. So he finally understands why his father hates him, because Tyler always wanted his father’s love and did not understand why he was treated that way.”he explained. “Wandinha seemed to be perhaps the only person who (being Wandinha Addams) would not be afraid of him or hate him for those parts of himself, and perhaps he even accepted it.”

Second Doohanreviewing the character was “A very shocking moment”: “You can see in episode 2, the change in the provocative and flirting way of talking to her. When he finds out she’s only there for information, then she changes and he gets very angry, because she is very hurt.”

Before Ortega, Christina Ricci had played the character in films inspired by the illustrations of Edward Gorey. In the plot, the protagonist tried to master her psychic powers at the Snowmore Academy while investigating a series of murders.

“Laurel and Tyler connected before season 1 began, but it was not in the plans that Wednesday entered the cafeteria. Until she said her name in that scene, he didn’t know who it was.”he said Doohan. “I think they had that initial connection immediately.”

By the end of the season, Wandinha already suspected Tyler, which led to her hospitalization. He escaped at the end of the first part of Season 2, but not first to kill Laurel (Ricci) for manipulating and abandoning it. It is also suggested that Tyler (like Hyde) would have thrown Wandinha out the window.

“I would say it was him [quem a jogou]” Doohan. “But we have just seen him destroy Laurel, and he doesn’t do that with Wandinha. Not that throwing someone out the window is really cool.”

About the future of the character, the actor said: “We didn’t want him to seem just a villain. He obviously did a lot of horrible things, but much of it was under someone else’s control. Now that this bond is weakening and he’s locked, there is a lot of anger at him. In part 2, let’s see what happens when he doesn’t have a master. The interesting thing is that all the information Tyler has about being a hyde came from Laurel. You know what comes ahead. ”

The mystery, guarantees Doohan, “It gets much bigger” in the second half: “Tyler is very hurt, full of anger and totally unstable. And he gets even more unstable when part 2 begins. Let’s see much more than he is underneath.”

On the renewal for season 3 and the expansion of the series universe, Doohan It was straightforward: “First of all, I just want to be in Wandinha. But I would do anything that Alfred [Gough], Miles [Millar] or TIM [Burton] were involved, any day. ”
