They present “14 symphonic episodes / Live”, by Gustavo Cerati, on the occasion of the anniversary of his birth

63 years old. They are those who have passed since the birth of Gustave Cerati, one of the emblematic figures of Argentine rock. And that this Thursday August 11 is more present than ever. How? With his music, of course.

It is that while the networks are full of messages and memories of the leader of Soda Stereo, who died on September 4, 2014, “14 Symphonic Episodes / Live” has just been released, the album that recorded his historic concert at the National Auditorium in Mexico Citywhich took place on February 9, 2002.

Essential material that is available for the first time on all digital platforms, in addition to physical formats: CDs and 2LPs.

The new album is the recording of the performance with which the Argentinian artist began the presentation tour of the album “11 symphonic episodes” (published in 2001), which led him through the stages of six rooms ( eight shows) in some of the main cities of Latin America.

As its title suggests, this disc adds three new episodes not included in the repertoire of the original project (“Lisa”, “Fue” and “Hombre al Agua”)classics from Soda Stereo and Gustavo’s solo career, showing all his vocal talent in the style of a velvety crooner, accompanied by the Camerata de las Américas orchestra, with arrangements and direction by Alejandro Terán.

El espíritu de este tour fue la arriesgada propuesta artistic que implicaba el formato orquestal, que entonces no era muy común para el repertorio de un músico popular proveniente del rock, mucho menos como se lo escucha aqui: sólo con su voz, sin la base de a group.

Accompanying the release of the album, the extended reality video for the track “Raíz (Symphonic Live)” was also released, a song whose studio version had been included in the album “Bocanada” (released in 1999). The elements on which its current production was based rescue and reinterpret the original idea that Cerati and director Andy Fogwill had at the time for the music video for the song which, for various reasons, was ultimately never filmed.

All day long Cerati is more present than ever.
