Twelve years after its debut in Rio de Janeiro, Rhapsody! The musical The first time comes to São Paulo in an entirely renewed montage. Created and directed by Bad Alvesthe production is on display until September 7 at the B32 Theater, in Faria Lima, with performances on Saturdays and Sundays.
Defined as a “Dark comedy”, which mixes acid humor, aesthetic exaggeration and an expressionist touch, Rhapsody! The musical accompany Dating (Felipe Assis Brasil), a young dreamer who, seeing himself without perspectives, accepts the invitation of the distant cousin Jeremiah (CONRADO HELT) To work in an old soap factory in the mysterious city of Rhapsody.
There, it comes across eccentric figures like Tobias (Bad Alves), Cone (Lurryan), Catherine (Jofrancis), Horage (Igor Miranda) and the artists of the Cabaré “Stage of the Prazeres”: Ghana (Luan Carvalho), Shana (Julia Morganti) and Date (Marília Di Lorenço). The curiosity of Dating It places him in front of a grotesque secret that turns his journey into a succession of twists.

Those who watched in Rio will be surprised, and those who see for the first time will find an authorial, Brazilian piece, who bets on originality at all levels“, account.
The setting of Rhapsody! The musical accompanies the tone of the narrative. Although not an interactive piece, the audience is willing inside the scene, in a sensory experience, with soap bubbles, dried leaves, scene objects and even blood splashes.
“It’s a look for the eyes, the ears, the touch. One hour you look right, another to the left. The scenes happen around. We wanted to create a total presence experience, where the public feels part of the atmosphere.”explains Bad.
