Angus Cloud reveals the story behind the scar on the left side of his scalp
The curved mark on the left side of the head of Angus Cloudinterpreter of Fezco in euphoria (2019), is not just a characteristic trait of the character. The actor told the story behind the scar in an interview with the magazine Variety.
cloud said he was with friends in downtown Oakland, in the United States, in 2013, when the accident happened. As he walked away from the group, alone and in the dark, he didn’t notice a building pit in front of him and fell.
I cracked my skull on a Friday the 13th. I woke up 12 hours later, at rock bottom. I got stuck. I ended up leaving afterwards, but I don’t know how long I spent there. I was in survival mode.
At the time, the actor revealed the difficulty in getting out of the ditch, at least 3 meters deep, for breaking the skull, causing intense pressure on the brain. In addition to his head, he had his fingers broken, but at the time he was imprisoned, he did not suffer.
When he finally managed to get out of the well, he took a bus and went to his mother’s house: “I was a child, I was 14 or 15 years old. She thought I was using drugs because my pupils were so dilated. I was trying to tell her what happened, but I couldn’t finish a sentence. So I was like, ‘I’m going to sleep in my bed.’
“I would have died. But she gave me some water and I started vomiting up a lot of crimson red blood. It was crazy. So my mom took me to the hospital and they saved my life. That’s where the scar comes from,” she said.
He spent about five days in the ICU, with lots of morphine, before returning home, in addition to having physical therapy and seeing a speech therapist. “The brain is so fragile. I’m blessed to have just a little brain damage,” Cloud reflected.
