Tribute brought participation from Yungblud, Nuno Bettencourt, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, but did not please Dan Hawkins, musician at The Darkness
For a long time, the public will come across different honors to Ozzy Osbourne. The Heavy Metal icon passed away last July at age 76 and has been remembered by fans and colleagues across the planet.
However, one of these taxes seems to have bothered Dan Hawkins. The guitarist of The DarknessEnglish band notoria for the hit “I Believe in a Thing Called Love”criticized the initiative of MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) to hold, last Sunday, 7, a tribute to the singer.
For the occasion, the organizers called the young singer Yungbludthe guitarist Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme) and the duo Steven Tyler and Joe Perryboth from Aerosmith. The first two executed “Crazy Train” and “Changes” And then, “Mama I’m Coming Home” next to Tyler and Perry.
In his unpaid commentary on performance, Dan characterized the situation as “a M#RDA.” Through Instagram, he shared a video that also shows reactions of pop artists in the audience – how Ariana Grande – and stated:
“Look at a bunch of assholes. Another nail in the rock ‘n’ roll casket. Cynic, nauseating and, more importantly, a m#rda. It gives me disgusted to see how people take advantage of this m#rda to boost their careers.

Ozzy Osbourne’s death
Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22 at the age of 76 due to a cardiac arrest. His health was weakened in recent years due to a diagnosis of Parkinson and a domestic fall that aggravated pre-existing injuries on his back.
Yungblud, Nuno Bettencourt and Steven Tyler were among the various guests at Back to the beginningfestival that marked the farewell of Ozzy and Black Sabbath of the stage. The event was held on July 5 – 17 days before the singer’s death – at Villa Park in Birmingham, England.
