The 8 metal bands that joined Spotify’s ‘Billion Club’

More than a thousand songs have already exceeded the 1 billion mark of reproductions on the streaming platform, but only 15 of them are of the genre mentioned

It is not easy to put a song in Spotify’s so -called “Billion Club”. The title is given to artists and bands who can accumulate 1 billion reproductions in one of their songs.

There are 1,045 tracks cataloged as members of such a club. Only 15 of them belong to the metal. More specifically, eight groups were responsible for the mentioned number of tracks.

One of them, Linkin Park, is the owner of five songs. “In The End”, “Numb”, “What’s What Done”, “One Step Closer” and “FAINT” reached the surprising number – besides the version “Numb/Encore”with the rapper Jay-zthat does not enter this account.

Check out the list with all eight metal bands that have at least one song with over 1 billion reproductions on Spotify. Artists and groups normally classified as hard rock, such as LED ZEPPELIN and AC/DCdid not enter the survey.
