5 unpublished lines showing how Ozzy Osbourne suffered in their final years

Vocalist deceased in July was diagnosed with Parkinson, had a serious bacterial infection and suffered domestic fall that compromised all his movement

The final years of Ozzy Osbourne They were marked by enormous suffering caused by health problems. Such details are only publicly reaching months after his death on July 22.

Before leaving, the artist left a series of properly recorded recent biographical materials. One of them was the documentary Ozzy: on the escape from nowlaunched in Paramount+ Brazil This Tuesday, 7.

This film specifically records the last 6 years of the Heavy Metal icon. The temporal cut was strategic because:

  • In 2019 he suffered a domestic fall that aggravated problems in his spine;
  • The following year, Parkinson’s diagnosis was revealed to the public;
  • And in 2018 – that is, before the beginning of production – he suffered a serious infection by staphylococci after a cut in the thumb, aggravated by closing his finger in a door and a visit to a manicure, as well as extended to the neck.

Five statements by Osbourne and his family, registered in Ozzy: on the escape from now and compiled by Rolling Stone USA, show how their final years have been complicated. See below:

1) Wrong Diagnosis

After the fall in 2019, Ozzy Osbourne was taken to the hospital. After many hours of waiting to see a doctor, the artist was informed that he would only be with bruises. It ended up released to return home. Kelly OsbourneOzzy’s daughter, shows how wrong this expert was:

“[Em outro hospital] They made a complete magnetic resonance imaging and found that he broke his neck. It’s crazy to me who released him from the first hospital. ”

2) Ozzy Osbourne – The New Gollum

Another statement by Kelly Osbourne portrays, with the help of a famous pop culture character, Ozzy’s transformation after the first back surgery – which she said just worsened things.

“I saw my father pass from ‘I could sit’ to… I’m sorry to say that, but I can’t think of anything else: ‘having a posture like Gollum’ (character in the franchise Lord of the Rings).”

3) affecting even cognition

Now, with the Word, Ozzy himself explaining that the pain felt even after the surgeries were completed was so strong as to affect their cognitive abilities. Madman couldn’t even think properly.

“It’s a pain that, no matter what you do, is always present. When you feel a certain amount of pain, it affects your thinking pattern. You can’t enjoy or enjoy anything.”

4) The show that Ozzy Osbourne couldn’t do

Before performing the Back To The Beginning Farewell show on July 5, Ozzy Osbourne made a public appearance in late 2024 to be honored by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The idea was that the artist could sing, but it was only possible to sit on stage, with no performance. He was devastated.

“I thought, ‘What is it wrong with me?’ [Não poder saciar] That desire to climb there and introduce me broke my heart. I almost said, ‘Let me try.’ But I knew it would be on the floor in two seconds. An inner voice said, ‘Go there, p#rra, that is it wrong with you?’ I have a little demon inside me. ”

5) Wishing death

The pain was so strong at times Ozzy wanted the end of his life. Madman stated:

“I’m taking antidepressants now, since I was preparing to kill me. But I think about it and end up reflecting, ‘What are you talking about?’ Meeting, I would be almost dead after fire, but I wouldn’t die. That’s my luck.”
