Story of toys 5 will be released seven years after the fourth part
History of the toy is one of the biggest franchises from the famous animation studio Pixar. When his first film came out in 1995, fans were able to meet Woody and BuzzFlasha toy cowboy and astronaut who come to life as soon as their owner leaves the roomand embark on crazy adventures. So far, the saga has four parts. AND a fifth is in preparation.
Story of toys 5 is one of the highly anticipated films announced by Disney in February 2023. More than two and a half years have passed since then. And very few details have been leaked about the new feature film with Woody and Buzz Lightyear. But Tim Allen just revealed the synopsis.
Jessie will have to gather her friends to get their help
In the original film version of the famous Pixar franchise, Tim Allen is the voice of Buzz Lightyear. The American actor recently appeared on the set of the show Jimmy Kimmel Live!. During the conversation with the host, presented the synopsis of Story of toys 5 :
It’s all about Jessie, which is really cool. He is in a difficult situation and needs help. We’re all in different places, so it has to bring everyone together.

This new feature film will therefore stand out from the previous ones. Because it will be the first in the saga to focus its story on the character of Jessy. This change seems to be a good idea to bring a breath of fresh air to the franchise and not risk giving us a story that is too repetitive.
Same voice casting, with the return of Pierre Niney in the French version
Jessie will always be dubbed Joan Cusack in the original version of Story of toys 5. The actress has lent her voice since the character’s appearance in the second film. While Tim Allen will reprise his role as Buzz Lightyear, Tom Hanks it will always be Woody’s voice too. Among the secondary characters, The Fork will return in this film after being introduced in the previous one. It will always be doubled Tony Hale in English. And undoubtedly from Pierre Niney in the French version.
For the first time since the launch of the franchise, the new History of the toy will be carried out by Mc Kenna Harris AND Andrea Stanton. The latter, however, worked on all previous works as a screenwriter.
Story of toys 5 will come out June 17, 2026 in French cinemas.
