The Star Wars: The Final Trilogy star reveals that the saga has come to an end

Best known for his role as Finn in the latest Star Wars trilogy, John Boyega has announced the end of the intergalactic saga.

From 2015 to 2019, John Boyega played Finn, the Rebel Stormtrooper in the latest Star Wars trilogy. Interview within the podcast SiriusXMThe actor revealed that this chapter of his life is over and he will no longer be playing this character.

“I think that’s fine with Finn, I’m cool with it. Fans will still be able to enjoy him in the video games or the anime series, but as for me, I’ve done 7 episodes out of 9 and I feel like I’m done.”he confided.

The actor also spoke about the recent racist attacks experienced by Moses Ingram, the actor who played Inquisitor Reva in the Obi Wan Kenobi series.

“Moses Ingram was very protective after those attacks and I felt safe through him. I told myself I wasn’t the elephant in the room. When I started, you couldn’t really discuss these topics. It was better. He kept quiet and took it.”he explains.

“But that’s not the case now. It was a huge comfort to hear Ewan McGregor’s support so strongly, it makes up for the times when I couldn’t say anything.” he concluded.

After his Star Wars experience, John Boyega excelled in Kathryn Bigelow’s Hot Detroit. He will soon be seen in Breaking, a thriller in which he plays a Marine Corps veteran. Suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, he struggles to reintegrate into civilian life.

We’ll find him in theaters on September 28th in The Woman King opposite Viola Davis. The film tells the extraordinary story of the Agojie, a unit of warriors who defended the kingdom of Dahomey in 19th century West Africa.
