In the pilot episode of the series, a car accident involving Bruce (Mark Ruffalo) and his cousin Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) leads the latter to receive radiation-poisoned blood, thus transforming her into She-Hulk (he gives the name in the latter episode).
But there was a plot development in the last episode of she-hulk This points to a direction Marvel could finally take with Ruffalo’s Hulk character, giving comic fans some hope that a popular story can make its way to the big screen … and that the Hulk can return to their wild ways. What happens to the Hulk in the She-Hulk episode?

The camera pulls away to reveal that Bruce Banner, in its Smart Hulk form is on horseback the Sakaaria spacecraft that caused the car accident in the she-hulk pilot. This ship seemed to fall out of nowhere and took Bruce completely by surprise, forcing Jen to leave the road and creating the bloody confrontation that mixed the duo’s blood. So we can assume that Bruce will understand why a sakaaria ship was on our planet and what they wanted with the Hulk.
The phone call between Bruce and Jen is cut off at the end of the scene, as the Hulk’s ship jumps into hyperspace. Where is he going?
Where could he appear after the Hulk?
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige made it clear that he sees the MCU split into three distinct segments. At street level, you’ll find characters like Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Daredevil (Charlie Cox), who usually live in New York City. Then the likes of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Moon Knight (Oscar Isaac) and possibly Next Blade (Mahershala Ali) occupy what Feige called the supernatural corners of the MCU. And finally, the stories are told in the cosmic realms of the MCU, and that realm is growing rapidly.
Because the Hulk takes off in a spaceship, he drops his cousin She-Hulk at street level and heads to the cosmic levels of the MCU, which means there are a few places he might show up later, similar to the Guardians. of the Earth. Galaxy appeared in Thor: love and thunder as part of a mission.
The following Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3 is one of the films that could show the return of the Hulk, although I think that is unlikely. James Gunn plans to wrap up his Guardians movie trilogy and appears to have an exciting story ready to be told (based on the footage shown at San Diego Comic-Con). Integrating the Hulk into this movie doesn’t make much sense, so I don’t think the thread presented she-hulk is picked up by Gunn.
Also, I don’t think the Hulk will be part of the other confirmed cosmic MCU movie, wonders. Mainly because there are three main characters who will need time and attention in the storytelling of this film: Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), and the seeds of this story were asked when Khan and Danvers appeared to be swapping places in the Disney + series finale Mrs. Wonder.
It could make the Hulk kick wonder phase six which so far has announced a Fantastic Four movie for November 2024 and two Avengers movies for 2025. Or, a new project with the Hulk could be announced at D23 in September.
What do we think this means for the Hulk
Rather than including Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk in someone else’s film, as Marvel has done for several years through the Thor sequels and Avengers teams, it’s time to finally make it the centerpiece of your own movie or TV series. And if they’re going in that direction, it only makes sense that there’s finally an adaptation of the famous World War Hulk comic story.
For the uninitiated, World War Hulk was a 2007 story arc that followed the Hulk into space and then returned so the monster could take on Marvel’s main heroes. It is basically triggered when the Illuminati trick the Hulk into catapulting him into space, where they had planned for him to land on a safe planet. He doesn’t, forcing him to engage in fierce gladiator battles and build his own army. In World War Hulk, Banner returns to Earth and wants to make a deal with the Illuminati.
World War Hulk followed Planet Hulk (they are two parts of the same whole) and elements of Planet Hulk have already been used in Thor: Ragnarok . So any World War Hulk adaptation should make some major changes before it hits the screen. But the story involves Sakaar, a planet you may remember revered the Hulk as a warrior hero. And now the Hulk is on his way to space. on a sakaaria ship . So it really looks like we’re going in that direction.
If Marvel plans to use skeletons from a World War Hulk storyline to bring their forgotten character back into the spotlight, the big question remains: Disney + movie or series? Avengers characters like Hawkeye have their own shows. But Thor just delayed a movie, so the jury is out. Also, would this be a post-Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars movement? Will the pin stay on the Hulk that long? Or will it be dealt with before that?
