Development Executive Chika Chukudebelu Igwilo Joins FX

FX is added to the development team.

Former HBO Max executive Chika Chukudebelu Igwilo has joined Disney’s property division as senior vice president of development. He will report to Presidents of Original Programming Gina Balian and Nick Grad in his new role and will lead potential series projects in development.

“Chica is an extraordinarily talented creative executive with a proven track record of discovering and nurturing talent and leading projects to success in an incredibly competitive environment,” Grad and Balian said in a statement. “We are honored to add such a talented creative executive to our development team, leveraging the team’s strength to continue FX’s tradition of fearless storytelling.”

Chukudebelu Igwilo was most recently Vice President of Original Programming and Drama at HBO Max. During his time there, he oversaw series including flight attendant, african girl Update and DC projects Pacifier s DMZ. (He joined FX before HBO Max was recently fired.)

Prior to HBO Max, Chukudebelu Igwilo served as Vice President of Development for Universal Studio Group, Creative Executive for BET Networks and Starbucks Entertainment. He began his industry career in film development at Killer Films and business development at New Line.
