The National Hispanic Media Coalition has named its honorary members for 36I Impact Awards Gala.
The Impact Awards will take place on September 9 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Lopes vs Lopes Stars George and Mayan Lopez (Impact Award for Authentic Narrative), Wilmer Valderrama (Impact Trailblazer Award), Xolo Maridueña (Impact Rising Star Award), Emmy-nominated Euphoria Estrella Colman Domingo (Impact Award for Performance in a Drama), how i met your father Estrela Francia Raisa (Impact Award for Sitcom Performance) and Charm Produced by Yvette Merino.
The show will be co-hosted by Annie Gonzalez and Jessica Marie Garcia with co-hosts Angel Manuel Soto, Debbie Wolfe, Selene Leyva, Gloria Calderon Kellett, Robin Ted and US Congressman Joaquín Castro.
“This year’s honorees have helped drive the industry forward and have been instrumental in the growing and accurate representation of Latinos in Hollywood since the beginning of their careers,” said NHMC President and CEO Brenda Victoria Castillo. “The NHMC is excited to return after a year of personal celebration, and what better way to return than to honor some of Hollywood’s most famous agitators.”
The Impact Awards are designed to focus on the NHMC’s overall mission of emphasizing accurate, fair and positive representation in the media. Salma Hayek, Rosie Perez, Tessa Thompson, America Ferrera, Jay Hernandez, Danny Garcia, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, James Cameron, Rosario Dawson, Zoe Saldana, Danny Trejo, Diego Luna, Benjamin Bratt and Robert Rodriguez are just a few of the daring ones. .
